Memorandum that on Monday after the Feast of St. Lucia
[13 Dec] came Henry Wyt, valet of Sir John de Collumber',
before Elias Russel, the Mayor, Geoffrey de Northone, William
de Leire, Thomas Romayn, Adam de Fulham, Adam de Hallingbere,
John Wade, Salomon le Cuteler, Nicholas Pickot,
Simon de Paris, and John de Donestapil, Aldermen, and offered
to pay Guy Bonaventure the sum of 50 marks which his said
master owed under a bond in the possession of the said Guy,
who handed it to Guy Bertaud (or Bertoud), who refused to
part with it except on payment of the debt in sterling money. |
