The same day was read a certain writing whereby Michael
de St. Alban and Gonilda his wife quitclaimed to the Prior and
Convent of H. Trinity, London, the land and houses in the
parish of H. Trinity formerly demised to them by the said Prior
and Convent for their lives. For which grant the said Prior and
Convent granted to the said Michael, so long as he was content
to live within the Priory without his wife, the use of a moiety of
a house formerly belonging to Master Thomas Remain, together
with a supply of daily food from the Convent kitchen. If the
said Michael left the Convent for more than a month, he was to
receive a weekly allowance of 5</. in lieu of his food, or 2Os.
a year if he chose to leave the Convent altogether. His wife,
too, so long as she lived apart from her husband, was to receive
a yearly allowance of ios. from the Convent's cellarer, whether
her husband were alive or dead ; saving to the said Michael and
Gonilda their right to bread and ale under a deed sealed with
the conventual seal. The same annuities were to be paid to

the sai$\husband and wife if they came together again, in addition
