To Nicholas de Haudlo, keeper of the bishopric of Winchester.
Ludgershall. Oontrabreve, on his loyalty, to pay up to 2,200 marks out of the
issues of the bishopric and the coming fair of Winchester for
purchases to be made by Richard de Ewell and Hugh de Turri, buyers for the wardrobe, in the said fair against the knighting of
John de Britannia and the coming feasts of St. Edward and
Christmas, namely silken and gold-wrought cloths, other cloths
and furs for robes, cloths for alms, horses, palfreys, wax, and
spices, not failing hereof as he loves the king, t he king's honour,
