And the aforesaid Adam de Foleham, " maior," and Richard de
Chyg^-elle came before Elyas Russel, the Mayor, on the Sunday
aforesaid, and before Geoffrey de Nortone, William de Leyre,
and the rest of the Aldermen, and Nicholas Pycot, then Chamberlain
at the Guildhall, and the rest of the Commonalty, and
acknowledged the aforesaid writing and asked that it might
