Testification that of the gold which William de Gloucestre, king's goldsmith of London, received in the treasury at Westminster by the hands of Philip Lovel, then treasurer, and Peter de Wintonia,
clerk of the wardrobe, he delivered to Aubrey de Fiscannis and the said
Peter to the king's use, on Saturday after St. Mark the Evangelist,
42 Henry III, at Westminster one gold chalice and two gold cups
of the weight of 15 marks, 3d., and at SS. Simon and Jude of the
following year 190 marks of gold in new money; and grant that
these shall be allowed to him in rendering account of the king's gold
received by him. |
