Allocate to Thomas de Andover and Ralph le Petit, bailiffs of Suthampton, in their farm of the town for Michaelmas term in the 48th year, 200l. delivered in the wardrobe at Oxford to master Henry de Gaunt , keeper, on Thursday after the Annunciation, by the hand of master Richard de Ewell and Hugh de Turri, buyers for the wardrobe, receiving the letters patent witnessing payment thereof, which they have kept in their hands, on condition that
they are quit down to Michaelmas next of doing any transport or
payment for the king by reason of their farm. |
