Grant by William de Newham, master of the Templars in England, with the assent of their whole chapter, to Ralph goldsmith and his heirs, of their land below Baynard's Castle (bounds given), which Walter son of Robert and his heirs gave to their house in alms, and e,onfirmed by their charters. Ralph will render is. annually. [1185 x 1200]
Omnibus Sancte Matris Ecclesie filiis presentibus et futuris ego Willelmus de Neuham, Militie Templi in Anglia minister humilis, salutem. Noveritis nos, communi consilio et assensu totius capituli nostri, concessisse et hac carta nostra confirmasse Radulfo aurifabro et heredibus suis terram nostram sub Castello Bainardi, habentem in longitudine quinquies xxti pedes, in latitudine xlij pedes: illam videlicet quam Gauterus filius Roberti et heredes sui domui nostre in elemosinam dederunt et cartis suis confirmaverunt. Habendam et tenendam libere et quiete; reddendo inde annuatim domui nostre xij denarios pro omnibus servitiis et exactionibus.
