Whereas Hugh Pape, king's merchant of London, has sworn before
the king, with his hand on the Holy Gospels, that he will not take
wools or other goods out of the realm to Elanders or elsewhere within
the power of the countess of Flanders during the contention between
the king and her, or have dealings with any of her men whereby those
wools or goods; or avow the goods of Flemings or the men of the
countess; grant that he may take from the realm all his wools arrested
within the realm by occasion of the said contention, to make his
profits in parts beyond seas, on pain of the forfeiture of such goods
if he do anything agamst his said oath ; until Easter.
