Sale and Quitclaim by Arnulf de Godrunelane and Matilda his wife to Ilger the goldsmith, of a part of their land, lying between the land of the said Ilger behind his house, in the S, and the land of William the draper, son of Adam, and extending in breadth from the orchard (pomarium) of the said Arnulf and Matilda on the W to the land of William son of Adam on the E, and in depth form the land which the said Ilger holds of Amice in the parish of St John the Baptish on the N, and the land of hte same william on the S; rendering therefore to the chief lords of the fee 2s per annum. In consideration of which sale etc. the said Ilger has given to the said Arnulf and Matilda 4 marks each.
