235. Walter abbot of Westminster confirms the house given by Alulf son of
Fromund to the nuns in Brèad Street, and property in Eastcheap.
Date : C. 1184 (William son of Brithmar or William de Haverhill was sheriff of
London 1189 and 1190. William the sheriff of London may therefore have been William son of Sabelina who, as sheriff, witnessed a charter dated 1184, printed in Norman Moore, i. 136. It was a deed of Walter abbot of Westminster and further resembles no. 23-5 in being witnessed by Richard son of Reiner, Henry son of Ailwin and William son of Brithmar).
MS.: Cartulary, fo. 66r.
Cited : Norman Moore, i. 222. He discusses the house given to St. Bartholomew's
Hospital by Ralph of Quatremares and his wife at the S.E. corner of Watling Street and Bread Street.
