Contrabreve, on his loyalty to the king and as he loves himself and all his lands and chattels, to set aside all delay and hindrance on sight hereof, and to go in person to the coming fair at Boston, and give efficient aid and council to Peter de Gisorciis, whom the king has appointed to take the prisage of his wines throughout England, in buying 120
tuns of wine for the king, paying for them out of the farm of
the county or some other source by view and testimony of Peter ;
and to carry 44 tuns to J akele for delivery to the sheriff of North[
ampton], 40 to t he end of his bailiwick towards Notingham for
delivery to the sheriff of Notingham, and the other 36 by water
to York for delivery to the sheriff of York, at days of which he
is to inform the respective sheriffs. |
