Allocate to John de Somerkote, king's clerk, in the issues of the fair of St. Ives, 20l. 17 t d. delivered in the wardrobe to Peter Chacepork, formerly keeper, as testified by Peter de Winton, clerk of the wardrobe, unless he has received it by another writ already allowed ; his reasonable expenses all the time he was
keeping the said fair; and other payments which he made by the
king's order, for which he will show writs or other sufficient
proofs, so far as they may justly be a1lowed. Any doubtful
matter arising is to be signified to t he king ; and prompt despatch
is to be made, as John is in preparat ion (procinctu) for his journey
to the court of Rome on the king's business. |
