The following day came John le "Caundeler" and William de
Chertesey, " caundeler," before the Chamberlain and acknowledged
themselves severally bound to Sir John de Boclonde,
Warden of the Hospital of St. Mary de Annesty,^ chaplain, in
the sum of 6o.r.; to be paid, viz., one moiety at the Feast of
St. Thomas, Ap., a.d. 1300, and the other at Easter following,
&c. And be it remembered that a certain writing obligatory of
the above debt, which was in possession of the chaplain aforesaid,
is given up to John the Chandler. And the aforesaid chaplain
appoints John, Clerk of the Vintry, Alderman, his attorney, to

receive the money, and the said John de Vintry came and
acknowledged satisfaction. |
