In the same year, Arnold de Geraudon and Thomas Sporon being [chamberlains], for whom no one answers but Alice la Blund has their lands, William de Durham, who answers now, and Thomas de Wymboum, for whom his son Michael answers, being sheriffs; Edith de Dumowe fell into a leaden vessel full of mash and was scalded to death. Value of the vessel *2s. (deodandum) for which the sheriffs are to answer. All the neighbours come except Alexander Aberdas and he is not suspected. Alexander was attached by Adam But of Melkstrete tailor and Gilbert de Hospitali tailor. So they are all in mercy. No one is suspected. Judgment: misadventure. |
