The following Saturday came Emma, wife of John le Hattere,
and Ralph, son and heir of the said John, before Geoffrey de
Conduit and Nicholas Picot, Aldermen, and Luke de Haverynge, ^ly.
Chamberlain, and acknowledged themselves severally bound to
Thomas de la Haye, valet of Master Thomas Perot, in the sum
of £20 ; to be paid at Easter, &c.
(The said John [sic] puts in his place Richard Swete to receive
and give acquittance for the money as if he were present, &c.) |
