The following day came William de Hedersete, mercer,
(cxiiij j). before Richer de Refham, Mayor, John de Wengrave and
Simon de Paris, Aldermen, and Luke de Haverynge, Chamberlain,
and acknowledged himself bound to Nicholas Picot,
mercer, in the sum of £6 ids.; to be paid, viz., one moiety at
Christmas and the other at Easter, &c. And the aforesaid
William agreed to indemnify Nicholas Picot against John
Hautayn, his apprentice, touching the sum of £13 which the
said John demanded for a debt due to him by Nicholas le Gode,
and for which he had sued the said Nicholas Picot in the
Sheriffs' Court. |
