The same day was read a certain writing of defeasance of a
grant by Robert de Esthalle and Johanna his wife to Thomas
Romayn and Juliana his wife of a certain tenement in the parish
of Aldermaricherche near the tenement of Hugh Motun, in perpetuity,
at an annual rent of IO/. and one pound of cumin. At

the end of twenty years, if the said Thomas and Juliana so wish,
the property to revert, the lessees being- allowed a sum of
money for disbursements, &c. Witnesses, Sir Ralph de Sandwych,
Warden of the City; Thomas de Stanes and William
de Hereford, Sheriffs; Henry le Waleys, Alderman of the
Ward;1 Robert de Arras, Hugh Motun, Robert Sackere,
Robert de Kidemenstre, William le Chaundiler, William Beck,
Robert Wylebeck, Thomas Heyrun, and William de Somersete,
