demise to michael tovy, proctor of London bridge, and the brethern thereof by martin farlefer for six years as from christmas 1243, of 5 ½ acres of arable land and 5 perches of meadow in the field of lamehe; viz. 1 acre situated behind the leper-house (retro leproses) between the land which belonged to Jordan Hewe on the S, and the land which Philip held of Margaret, widow of Abraham (habra); and 1 ½ acres in Sumerlese, extending from the land which belonged to John sumer on the E to the land of Godfrey tailefer [sp?] on the W; and 1 acre lying between the land belonging to the said Godfrey on the W, and the land which belonged to Katherine on the E, with one head (capud) extending towards the S and the other towards the N; and 2 acres lying between the land formerly belonging to Margaret relict of Abraham on the W, and the land of London bridge on the E; and 5 perches of meadow situated between the meadow of the archbishop of Canterbury on the W, and Hungerelle on the E.
