Quitclaim by Roland the Goldsmith and Gunnora, his wife, to the abbot and convent of Cirencester, of all right in a tenement in London situated between the south gate of St. Paul's churchyard and Ludgate, (c. 1216-30)
Sciant presentes et futuri quod ego Rolandus Aurifaber et Gonnara vxor mea dimisimus et quietumclamauimus et extra nos pro nobis et heredibus nostris affidauimus abbati de C. et eiusdem loci conuentui totum jus quod habuimus in tenemento nostro quod sc. tenuimus de abbate prenominato et eiusdem loci conuentu et omnes libertates cum omnibus pertinenciis quod in illo tenemento habuimus quod sc. tenementum iacet London' inter portam australem cimiterii s. Pauli et Ludgate a parte boriali legalisl vici habendum et tenendum eidem abbati et eiusdem b d conuentui imperpetuum et ad placitum illorum prenominatorum abbatis et conuentus faciendum. Et sciendum est quod ego Rolandus sepedictus et Gonnora vxor mea omnes cartas et omnia munimenta que de predict° tenemento habuimus sepedictis abbati et conuentui reddidimus. Et vt hec dimissio et quieta clamacio et foris affidacio grata et inconcussa permaneat presens scriptum sigillorum nostrorum munimine roborauimus. Sciendum vero est quod pro hac dimissione quietaclamacione foris affidacione et presentis carte confirmacione dedit nobis predictus abbas duas marchas argenti et de arreragiis nobis xlviiis. quietum clamauit.
