1540 Grant by the same to Stephen at Brek' of a messuage with a garden and three pieces of arable land in Stortford, the messuage and garden being in Hokerhull between Hefeld and the garden of Robert Spencer, chaplain, abutting on the highroad and the garden of John Belhum. One piece of the land is in Hefeld between the garden of the messuage and the land and garden of John Belhum in the N., the land of William Faber in the S. and ext. to the highroad and the land of John Estzine. The other two pieces of land are in Brambulfeld, one between the land of Robert Spencer, chaplain, and that of John le Weler, ext. to the land of the rector of Stortford and the highroad, and the other piece between the land of Ellis Blithewen and that of John Estzine.
