[1222-48] Grant by Felicia widow of Joce Juvenis to Richard prior and convent in free alms a quit rent of 40s. p.a. from land and three shops which are of the fee of St. Giles' hospital [f. 187v] in Bridge St. (in vico Pontis London'); abutments, the land and shop of Wygod the Mercer on the south and the shop formerly of Richard Blund of the same fee on the north and the land and messuage which was of Geoffrey the Shopkeeper (Schopparii) on the west 20s. p.a. of quit rent; also from a certain shop which is Roger the Butcher's; abutments, the shop formerly of Derekinus the Spicer (speciarii) on the south and the shop of St. Mary of Suthwerke on the north 8s. p.a. of quit rent; also from certain land with houses and shops in the parish of St. John de Walbrok ; abutments, the land formerly of Geoffrey de Frowyk on the east and the land formerly of Alan Weyder on the west 14s. p.a. rent from which 2s. p.a. has to be paid to the lords of the fee (dominis fundi); the grantor has handed over all charters and muniments to the canons; sealed with the grantor's seal and the seal of her husband's executors; witnesses, Ralph Sperleng, Robert Hardel, Robert de Cornhill, Alexander Ferrun, John Prian.
