process of certain proceedings in tbe hustings of London on complaint
y John de Cateloyne that whereas he had the custody of the land and heir
of John de Betoyne, as pertained to him because the said John held his
tenements in London in socage, and he was tbe next heir, William de
Betoyne, William de Bek and John Godchep drew away the said heir when he was in the said Oateloyne's custody at school at Oxford, and the said heir, although a minor, at their procurement impleaded Cateloyne in the hustings for the restitution of his tenements, and still impleads him there to render account of the issues thereof for the time they were in his custody and distrain him contrary to the custom of the city. |
