Grant by Robert le Mareschal, brother and heir of Master Ralph le Mareschal, to Matthew le Chandeler, citezen of London, of a mark's worth of annual quit rent, bought by the said Ralph from William de Hakene, from the tenement of the same William in the parish of St Leonard, Eastcheap; situated between the tenement of Boydin de Crehew, butcher, on the S, and the tenment of william chaundler on the N, and extending from gerscherchestrete on the W as far as the tenement of Richarwd Sharp on the E; in consideration of the annual render to the grantor of a clove (vnu' clmu' Garephi') at Christmas.
