Lib. to the king's serjeant Richard de Ewell 50/. (sic) in recompense for the marriage of the son and heir of Henry de Merk, since the king sold him the wardship and marriage for l 2om. paid in the wardrobe, but Richard did not receive (non habttit) the 5om. at which the marriage was assessed, so the king wishes that he should be satisfied by the 5 om. aforesaid. 1
