Charter of Master Simon Niger fishmonger of London granted to God and the church of St. Peter of the monastery of Chertsey [and] the Abbot and Convent of the same place concerning 13s. of yearly rent to be received from his tenement in London opposite the church of St. Margaret in Friday street as it is contained by Metes and bounds.

I Master Simon son of Walter Niger fishmonger of London and my heirs ought yearly to render to God and the church of St. Peter of Certeseye and the Abbot and Monks there . . . . .13s. sterling of quit rent of my land and house which is in the City of London opposite the church of St. Margaret of Fridaystrete in a corner between the land of Robert Niger fishmonger towards the west and the land of Hatemund towards the south which 13s. my father Walter gave from the said land and house to the aforesaid church and Abbot and Monks in frank almoign Which land contains in length 18 ells of measured ells (de ulnis ferreis) of the lord King John of England and 4 inches towards the west and in breadth io ells, less 4 inches 1 towards the east [Right of distraint to the Abbot and Convent in case of non-payment of the said rent at the quarterly terms herein stated.] Witnesses : Sir Roger Fitz Alan (filio Alani) Mayor of London, Alan son of Peter, T. de Hauerhyll, Constantine son of Aluf, R.
