Grant by John Moday 'horbatur' of London and Margareta his wife to Henry Wolewme (wolwyne), fishmonger of London, and Matilda his wife, of the land with houses etc in the parish of St Margaret Pateyns which they had of the grant of Walter le Poleter, the which land lies between the tenement if robert de wandlesworthe on the S and the tenement of the said wlater le poleter on the N, and between the royal highway on the E and the land of Joh nadrian on the W; rendering therefor to the grantors a root of ginger (vnam Radicem Gingebri') at Christmas, to Walter le Poleter a clove at the same festival, and to Richard Asswy 1mk annual rent, and to the king's scoage 1d during Lent.
