Demise for life, indented, by Gregory de Roq[e]sle and Nicholas of Winchester, citezens of London and wardens of London Bridge, with the concent of Sir Martin, chaplain, John the clerk, etc, to Brother John de Brokele, for his sustinance, of the manor of Leuesham and the lands in East Greenwich appertaining thereto, in consideration of the annual payment of 50s. (details of the conditions he has to meet in terms of upkeeep); the wardens to have the right to visit and inspect the manor annually, and to eject the leasee in the event of the non-fulfillment of the terms of the lease. Dated Sunday after the feast of the Annunciation of the BVM, 8 Ed I (31 March 1280) NB cyrograph. Sealing clause (Counterpart to G.28, which has lost its seal.)
