[Middx.] A. 2673. Sale and release by Reginald de Mailing' to Richard, the
prior, and the canons of Holy Trinity, London, for 24s., of 4Od. quit rent
in lauds and houses in St. Olave's parish towards the Tower, the tenants
whereof he has attorned to pay the convent 10s. yearly ; they paying
therefor 5s. 8d. yearly. Witnesses : Gilbert son of Fulk, alderman,
Roger de Beuchodr', and others (named).

[1222-32] Grant by Reginald de Mallyng to Richard prior and convent of a quit rent of 10s. p.a. from three tenements which Richard Swetenote, Constantine the Capper and William Cristemasse held of him; attorns the same tenants to pay 10s. p.a. to the prior and convent paying therefrom to Richard son of William son of Renger 15s. 8d.; Richard and his heirs warrant the rent in perpetuity to the prior and convent according to the law of the City; the prior and convent gave for the sale etc. 24s. sterling; witness, Gilbert son of Fulk, alderman.
