[London.] A. 7843. Feoffment by Geoffrey de Brynkele to Roger Clerk (clerico)
son of Roger Palmer of land with buildings on it in Godronelane in the
parish of St. John Zachary against Kyrunelane, next land formerly Eustace
Painter's (pictoris) to the south, 6j ells wide to the street, of iron ells of
king Henry, and 17 ells long, extending from the highway to the stone
wall which was Roger Palmer's and in width at the said wall from the
south part of the cellar window in it to the land which was Eustace
Painter's (pictoris) ; rent $lb. of cummin or !</. at Michaelmas, and the
service due to the lords of the fee, viz. 2s. to the bishop of Ely yearly : the
said Geoffrey has sworn (affiilav-i) in the full Husting of London to keep, &c. ;
for this Roger has given him 40s. in gersum. Witnesses : Andrew
Bukerell then mayor, Roger Blund, Simon son of Mary, Joceus son of
Peter, then aldermen, Michael de Sancta Elena and others (named). |
