A. 9849. Confirmation by John the parson (pamnna) and Bartholomew
sons of Ralph son of Elmaundus to Richard and John, brothers, and Maud
and Benedicta, sisters, children of Idonia, late the wife of Ralph son of
Elmaundus their father, of 6 marks rent and lib. pepper yearly which
Ralph their father gave to the said Idonia his wife for her dower ; to be
received from the rent of U. which the said Ralph their father bought from
Henry son of Gerold atte Marsh (de Marisco) of Salden in the parish of
Burgestede ; to hold after the death of the said Idonia, rendering to them
and their heirs 4d. yearly, and to the said Henry son of Gerold, or his heirs,
lib. pepper at London (miaw libram jiiprrix I.o>td<I') within the octave of
St. Michael ; for this the said Richard. John, Maud and Benedicta gave
them 8 1/2 marks in gersum, viz, 40s. to John and half a mark to Bartholomew.
