I simon son of mary citizen of london have remitted and resigned, quitclaimed and pledged away (foris affidavi) from (extra) me and my heirs to god and the church of hte blessed peter of cherteseye and the lord alan abbot and convent of the same place and their successors for ever all my tenement with all its appurtenances which walter de fulleham my father and i held of them in London in the parish of St Nicholas Olaf, namely the whole land with all its appurtenances which was of maurice the tailor (parmentarri) son of Guthake which land lies between the land which was of robert de guthake towards the south and the land which was of walter the salter (salinarii) towrds the north . .. . saving to william gray and hiers heirs all the tenemtn wchich he held of me of the same fee. rendering therefore to the aforesaid convent and their successors 1d of quit rent yearly for evet at easter which he was wont to render me. rendering also tehrefore yearly in the anme of the abbot and convent of cherset and for those canons of the church of st paul london 4s 4d at 4 terms of the year and to the heirs of laurence duket 13s yearly rendering also of my gift to ralph eswy and his heirs 7s yearly at the appointed (statutis) terms for all services ..... for this remission . . and for the afficing of my seal the aforesaid abbot and convetn have given me 6 1/2 marks sterling and remitted to me and my heirs 4 marks of silver and 20d. which I owed to them for arrears of the aforesaid tenement.
