Monday after the Feast of St. Hillary [13 Jan.], 12 Edward I.
[A.D. 1283-4], in the presence of Robert de Rokesle1 and Robert
de Arraz, 2 Aldermen, Hugh Motoun, Chamberlain of the Guildhall,
and many others, came Michael le Poter and Isabella his
wife to the Guildhall and acknowledged themselves bound to
Margery, relict of Robert de Thunderle, in the sum of 10 marks
and 3-r .
; to be paid at Midsummer. In default, the said Margery
is to enjoy an annual quitrent of lOs. issuing from their tenement
in the parish of All Hallows de Berkingechurch, near the
property of the Monks of Westminster ; also an annual quitrent
of los. issuing from their tenement in the parish of All

formerly belonging to Adam de
Auverne; according to the terms of a deed of feoffment
read before the said Aldermen and delivered to the said
