Covenant between Laurence son of Martin Wautre and Hervey Blund touching the stall with house and shops leased by laurence to Hervey in St. Pancras parish (london) viz. that Hervey and his heirs ought to hold for ever the said stall, so that the rent thereof of 19 1/2 marks yearly be secured to laurence. Should however the stall be destroyed by fire belonging to Hervey, it is agreed that Hervey or his heirs shall rebuild it. And therefore Hervey counterpledged to Laurence all his lands held of William Faber in St. Mary Abecherche parish (London) of William de Yspania in Willingehale vill (co. Essex) and all his land in St. Andrew de Castello parish and all his other lands, houses and rents within and without the City of London , to have full recovery in them. And it is agreed that neither Hervey nor his heirs can or ought to give or mortgate the stall or shops or any part thereof to the Jews, or bestow them on a Religious House, or diminish ought there of without Laurence's consent. And Hervey and his heirs shall keep the tenants of the said stall and shops who held them under Laurence andfor the same service, viz. Robert de Beverlaceo at 23s. and Maurice Wautre at 24s. and Ralph de Bredeford at 7s. and John de Stratford at 4s. and Walter gulle at 4s. and Ralph Blund at 10s. and Thomas Reigate at 3s and Richard GALLICUs at 7s.
