A. 1926. Agreement between Michael Vintner, of St. Albaus, and
Agnes, late the wife of Stephen le Mirurer, of Bassieshawe. Michael will
make a rainwater gutter (stillicidium) of the necessary length and breadth,
covered with lead, from the highway to Agnes's palistrum in Bassieshaw
parish, between his newly built tenement and hers, and Agnes will repair
or find a gutter between their said tenements, so'that the droppings from
the gutters may not injure their tenements. Agnes shall receive the rainwater
flowing from the roof of a certain secret chamber of Michael's near her
palistrum in a shaft open to the east, &c. Witnesses : J. Adrien, Mayor
of London, Gregory de Rokesle, Henry le Waleys, bailiffs, and others
