Description From: the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory To: Robert de Burewell, citizen of London The whole tenement with the buildings in Friday Street ('fridaistrat'') in St Matthew [Friday Street] parish, [London], on the east side of the street, opposite the chancel of St Matthew's church, with the land which was of Peter Heylond to south and the land which was of John Brid to north. For an annual payment of 60s, payable as specified. Robert has sworn fealty to the priory and its lord. For this Robert has also paid 13 marks as a gersum fine. Priory's part of indenture. No date. [Date: handwriting.] Witnesses: Gerard bath; Reginald de bungheie; Ralph Eswi; Robert hardel; Simon son of Mary; John Adrian'; William Eswi; Robert de suffolke; Stephen daneis; Hamo de baldac; Adam de basing; Vincent the mercer ('mercerius') Endorsed with description and note of registration in late 13th cent hands and description in 18th cent hands.
