15 Edward I. [A.D. 1287], came Nicholas de "Burthon" and
Walter his brother and acknowledged that John de Staunford,
mercer, and Isabella his wife had caused a fine to be levied in
the Court of the lord the King on their land, &c., in the
parishes of Schawe and " Thaham," according to an agreement
previously made on Friday before Palm Sunday ; so that the
said Nicholas and Walter agree that William de Bettoyne shall
deliver to the said John and Isabella the sum of 100 marks
deposited with him.2 |
