Contrabreve to go in person to London and receive from the
treasurer aud chamberlains 3,000 marks which they have been
ordered to deliver, to be carried to Licheffeld by the sheriffs of London under safe escort which they will find, as commanded in the Icing's letters sent to Simon for transmission to them, and from Licheffeld to Chester by the men of the bishopric under safe escort which Simon is to find. He is to appoint bailiffs in his
absence to collect all the money possible of the issues of the
bishopric, and carry this also to Chester.
Mandate to the said sheriffs accordingly.
