Allocate to Adam de Basing and Thomas de Dunolm', citizens of London, in their debt due at the feast of St. John the Baptist in this year for wool of Morgan, 40l. for two embroidered copes, of which t he king gave one to St. Peter's church at Westminster and the other to the church of St. Edmund the martyr at Canterbury ;
13Z. 15s. 2d. for an embroidered chasuble of red samite which he
gave to the church of Walsingham; 13l. 14s. lOd. for samite of
India to make a cope n.nd chasuble with an alb, and for embroidered
ornaments (esparuri8) and orpm:eys, for Simon the king's chaplain ;
Bl. l Bs. 2d. for two copes of green samite, and 8l. for two copes of
red samite, which t he king gave to the church of Westminster;
40l. for an embroidered cope from beyond seas which he gave to
the same church at Easter; 12Z. for an embroidered chasuble
which he gave to the church of St. Martin-le-Grand in London;
l OZ. 12s. 8cl. for wide orphreys for an alb of white sillr which he
gave to the church of 'iVestminster; and 22s. 4d. for a pectoral
for the same alb and for its apparel ; all in this year. |
